Healthy Snacks Without Seed Oils

100% SEED OIL-FREE

Read the back of almost any bag in the snack aisle and you’ll find canola, sunflower, soybean, or another seed oil near the top of the list. If you’re trying to cut back, Daily Crunch makes it easy: every flavor we make is seed oil-free, and most contain no added oil at all.

WHAT ARE SEED OILS?

Where Seed Oils Hide in Snacks

“Seed oils” usually refers to industrially processed oils like canola, soybean, corn, sunflower, safflower, cottonseed, and grapeseed. They’re common in chips, crackers, roasted nuts, granola, and protein bars because they’re inexpensive and neutral-tasting.

Even nuts often get roasted in them. Check the label on a can of “dry roasted” or seasoned nuts and you may be surprised.

HOW WE DO IT

Crunch Without the Oil

Instead of oil-roasting, we soak our almonds to activate them, then slowly dehydrate them. The seasoning absorbs into every bite, so there’s no need for an oily coating to make it stick. Learn more about sprouting.
