We Survived! A Note from Our Co-Founder

We Survived! A Note from Our Co-Founder

If you are anything like me, you are elated to feel life is somewhat back to normal. Just being able to see friends, go to restaurants and shed the mask (mostly).

We should all come out of this with huge lessons learned. What’s really important. Who’s really important. What we missed the most. How important it is to slow down, decompress smell the roses.

Now that life is returning to pre pandemic feel, I’m also feeling stressed.  Socializing can be exhausting. It can be stressful. It can be fake and forced.

We didn’t “dress” for over a year. I have a closet full of beautiful clothes that went unnoticed when I felt the need to buy new for any big occasion. Buying just to buy and spending too much on the wrong things.

This pandemic and what it brought to my life was a huge lesson. A wake up call. Everyone handled it differently. Some still aren’t leaving their houses. Some are back to travel full speed. I judged people for how they dealt with this horrific time in our life. I took it personally when they declined dinner in my backyard.

My kids are starting new jobs and next chapters of their lives. How will they look back on the past 16 months?

I truly feel for all the parents, children, elder population, restaurateurs and so many that were affected so negatively during these times. What a challenge.

Be kind to yourself and take things slow. Do what’s comfortable. Say no if it doesn’t feel right.

Come back to “normal” in a way that feels right for you.

We did it! Phew…
